Exalted: The Legend of Denandsor

In the twilight of the First Age, the great Smith-King of Denandsor had a premonition that, in the far future, long after his demise, the great alchemy-crucibles and magitech-forges of his city would be needed by Creation once again. And so, he forged a device that would generate a miasma of madness to stave off looters and invading armies, and activating, dooming the remaining citizens to slaughter each other in an orgy of violence.

A millennium later, and the Scarlet Empress has disappeared from the Imperial Manse that stands at the center of creation. Without her influence and strength of will, the Realm abandons the frontier states of the Threshold to war over the vacant throne. Great armies of barbarians, roused by Lunars old beyond imagining, arm themselves and rage to settle ancient grudges. The Deathlords, emboldened by the chaos, begin enacting byzantine plans to drown the living in sorrow and blood. Among the stars a civil war brews between the architects of Fate, a conflict that threatens to devour Heaven itself. From beyond time and space, a bizarre and strange people armed with incredible technology invade Creation. The armies of the Wyld, formed from chaos itself, begin to chew on the fringes of reality. The long-sealed Primordials watch from afar, licking their chops and greedily awaiting the moment when Creation falls into their hands. And one small nation, armed with the legacy of the First Age, seek to conquer the world in order to prevent it’s destruction.

Six heroes have united, to take the light that the ancient Smith-King has passed into the future. Will that light fade? Become the blaze that ignites Creation in war? Or will it burn, dimly, against all odds, to light the way to a new tomorrow?
